Work on the Ford House foundation and house continue in tandem this week. While the house is being built at Palm Harbor-Discovery, a pier and beam foundation consisting of 24 cement piers is being built on site. Do to the nature of the soil (expansive clay), each pier will extend 15′ into the ground for added stability.  The photos show truck 1 of 4 pouring cement into the 15′ holes to form the piers.
